The Defender Challenge Car costs £50,000 and takes a standard Defender 90 and upgrades the 2.2 litre turbo-diesel to 170 bhp and 332 lb ft, adds a roll cage and fire-extinguisher system and several other trick Bowler upgrades.
The car has been created to compete in a single make rally series in order to give entrants a ladder to participation in the Dakar Rally. Entry into the Defender Challenge will cost from £10,000 and takes in seven MSA Approved UK rallies from March to November.

Bowler do some amazing work on Land Rovers and since Land Rover welcomed them by wanting to work more closely with Bowler, there should be some interesting stuff coming soon.

I like it, but then that's just a given with me. Although I think I'd want that 5.0 Rover V8 that they use in the Tomcat in a challenge car
